Nectar of War: The Song of Verity and Serenity is the first self-published novel by Leilani Helen Aki. After publication in August 2023, Nectar of War was short-lived in the best way possible. Reaching high charts in Amazon Books and reaching over 3 Million people on TikTok and Instagram, Leilani was approached by an agent in November 2023. This then led to the removal of the self-published version of Nectar of War.

Now, Leilani is represented by Hannah Andrade of Bradford Literary Agency who will prepare her novel for traditional publishing.

During a new round of edits and majorly expanding the world created in Nectar of War, Heirs of Fire was developed and will be the riveting traditional debut of The Nectar of War series. *don't worry, Nectar of War will still exist as the third installment in The Nectar of War series with a different take*

Beloved readers of Nectar of War may expect Heirs of Fire to differ from the self-published version of Nectar of War while maintaining the same bones and poetic take that readers originally loved.
